FAQ

If you have any additional questions not answered below, please contact Nicole Lourette.

Do I have to pre-register?

It is not mandatory, but the earlier you register, the more you save! Early Bird rates save you up to $200 and run from September 4th until November 12th. Prices will then increase to pre-show rates, and onsite prices begin December 17, 2018.

Where is the event being held?

The Conference is being held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. This includes all of the technical sessions, committee meetings, exhibit hall and training courses.

Do I have to be a member of SSPC?

SSPC membership is not required, but it does save you money! You can sign up for membership at any time, or while you register for the conference. The full benefits of membership can be found at www.sspc.org.

Does my registration cover training courses?

No. While we attempt to offer all of our training and certification courses during the same week as the conference, those are considered separate registrations.  You can register for a training course at www.sspc.org, or you can contact Phil Hall (hall@sspc.org) with any questions. All confirmed training students do receive complimentary passes to the Exhibit Hall to use at any time the hall is open. If you are registered for a training course, you have the option to register for a full conference pass with a $100 training discount.

What is included with my registration?

There are a few different levels of registration: A full conference registration includes access to any and all of the technical sessions, the exhibit hall, the Awards Luncheon and other social events throughout the week. Single day passes—SSPC members only—include all of the technical sessions, exhibits and events being held on the particular day you register for. Exhibit Hall only passes only give you access to the exhibit hall. Registration does not include travel or lodging expenses.

Are meals included?

There will be a plated Awards Luncheon Monday afternoon for full conference attendees, as well as a Welcome Reception that Monday evening with hot hors d’oeuvres. New this year is a full breakfast Tuesday morning to coincide with our keynote address. Additional tickets to the Awards Luncheon and Welcome Reception can be purchased for guests or those with exhibit only passes. Boxed lunches will be served in the Exhibit Hall Wednesday and Thursday afternoon for all full conference attendees and those with exhibit hall passes. The Coronado Springs Resort will have a dining area on property that will be available during the week.

Whom do I contact for an international invitation letter?

Please contact Event Specialist Nicole Lourette at lourette@sspc.org for an invitation letter.

If I have to cancel my registration, do I receive a refund?

All cancellations must be received in writing by December 1, 2018 to qualify for a 100% refund less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellation requests received after that and by December 29, 2018 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after December 29, 2018 or for No-Shows. SSPC is not responsible for any personal charges associated with your attendance at Coatings+ (i.e., air fare, hotel, meals, transportation, etc). Name substitutions are allowed.

When and where will the show be next year?

Next year, Coatings+ will be held February 3-6, 2020 in Long Beach, CA. Mark your calendars today!
